Launch: HBradio now online at ETH

The USKA and the ETH Library are joining forces: HBradio is now available digitally via the ‘E-Periodica’ portal. This makes decades of accumulated knowledge on amateur radio and technology available to the public and to researchers.

The inclusion of HBradio in the ETH Library’s digital collection is a special honour for the USKA. It underlines the relevance of our specialist articles, which are valued far beyond the confines of the association as a valuable historical record of the history of technology. The fact that an institution such as ETH is archiving our publications ensures the preservation of this treasure trove of knowledge for the future and elevates the significance of HBradio to a new level.

Simple online search

Access is incredibly straightforward: via the ‘E-Periodica’ portal, you can go directly to the volumes from 2008 to 2025. Once you have selected a volume, the individual issues open up. A single click is all it takes to conveniently flick through the pages on screen. This makes browsing through older issues much more convenient.

Download as a PDF

If you’re looking for specific topics or authors, use the search function. The abbreviation ‘hbr’ allows you to narrow the search down to our magazine. Matches are highlighted in yellow directly within the text. Entire issues or individual pages can also be easily downloaded as PDFs. Please note that there is a one-year embargo period for the most recent issues.

A treasure trove for technology enthusiasts

This digital archive is a treasure trove for all radio amateurs and technology enthusiasts. It invites you to delve into your own history and rediscover technical know-how.
