HB9BC showcases amateur radio up close at Enter Technikwelt
On 31 January and 1 February 2026, the Hauenstein Radio Club will be showcasing the fascination of amateur radio at the Enter Technikwelt in Solothurn.
The Hauenstein Radio Club (HB9BC) is making use of the modern setting at Enter Technikwelt in Derendingen to showcase the versatility of amateur radio to a wide audience. The two-day event will focus on encouraging young people to take up the hobby and providing information on training opportunities to become a licensed radio amateur.
Interested visitors will gain a first-hand insight into the technology and global communication via shortwave and satellites. For young people and technology enthusiasts, the stand offers a practical way to get started: under expert guidance, visitors can solder electronic kits on site.
The event serves as a platform to break down barriers and show the way to obtaining one’s own licence. Members of HB9BC will be on hand to answer questions about the courses on offer and exam preparation.
