Brief report on the 6th EMC Level 1 video conference 2026
On Tuesday, 25 August 2026, the 6th EMC Level 1 Video Conference 2026 took place.
Urs HB9BKT provided an update on the progress of work on the new USKA website by Andreas HB9BLA and the new web editor, Tayfun HB3YPJ.
He also discussed the agenda items for the next IARU-1 conference in Vienna in September 2026 and the completion of the Euroloop refurbishment at Davos railway station. He explained the current status of the efforts to resolve interference issues with the L&G E450 smart meter in Menziken.
Armin HB9MFL reported on the interference suppression work in the 137 kHz band and on technical aspects of the BKW Deitingen smart meter.
Matthias HB9BNO explained how he had used ferrite cores to suppress interference from a neighbour’s balcony solar panel system.
Manfred HB9RLZ reported that the interference he was experiencing on the 80m band had disappeared without the source of the interference having been clearly located or direction-found beforehand.
The next EMC video conference will take place on Tuesday, 29 September 2026 at 2015 HBT. An invitation will follow.
