Association

The Union of Swiss Shortwave Radio Amateurs (USKA) was founded in 1929 and represents around 3,500 members throughout Switzerland. It is the national umbrella organisation for Swiss radio amateurs.

International Networking

The USKA is a member of the International Amateur Radio Union (IARU) Region 1 and represents the interests of Swiss radio amateurs vis-à-vis the authorities, OFCOM and international organisations.

Amateur Radio in Switzerland

There are over 5,000 licensed radio amateurs in Switzerland. They operate an extensive network of relay stations and are involved in emergency communications, training and technical research.
