New online services from OFCOM
Biel/Bienne, July 1, 2024 – Since 2022, OFCOM has been offering various products and services on the DETEC eGovernment portal. Since then, it has continuously expanded its offering on the portal. For example Since November 2023, interested persons have been able to register for radio operator examinations, report radio interference and apply for call signs. The OFCOM Online virtual counter will be discontinued at the end of 2024. We have informed HBradio informed about this.
Since July 1, 2024, the following has been available at https://www.uvek.egov.swiss/en/servicecatalogue further services relevant for radio amateurs have been available. You can now obtain duplicates for the authorization to amateur radio and for various Swiss certificates of proficiency (including NOVICE and CEPT). Also the following amateur radio applications can also be reported via the portal in future:
- – Unoperated equipment e.g. relays
- – Remote-controlled systems / remote stations
- – Use of amateur radio bands subject to authorization
- – Satellite links e.g. QO-100
- – Contest stations
- – Special applications
How to use the DETEC eGovernment portal
New customers must register on the portal. Registration takes place via the CH login and is free of charge. You will find the necessary instructions in the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) section. Radio amateurs with questions about the portal can also contact OFCOM directly (kf-fk@bakom.admin.ch).
