Annual Meeting of the USKA Board Staff
Deutsche Version: Jahres-Treffen der USKA-Vorstands-Mitarbeitenden
Version française: Réunion annuelle des collaborateurs du comité de l’USKA
Versione italiana: Riunione annuale dello staff del comitato USKA
On Saturday, 6 November 2021, the traditional annual meeting of USKA Board staff took place. «Board staff» are members who make themselves available to look after individual areas of responsibility and are prepared to devote a few hours of their time each week to this, with varying levels of commitment. Examples of such tasks are QSL service, supervision of HamAcademy and HamWebinar, contest evaluations, editors, band watch, EMC core team, IT systems and much more. Without our Board staff, USKA could not function properly.
As a «thank you» for these very valuable commitments, USKA holds an annual «outing». This year this excursion took us to Solothurn. In the morning, the 21 participants were informed about the latest developments and plans of USKA and discussed them with the representatives of the USKA board. At the same time, the accompanying persons were given a guided tour of Solothurn’s exceptionally well-preserved baroque old town. After lunch together in the historic «Baseltor» restaurant, we visited the famous ENTER museum in two groups under expert guidance.
There are always vacancies in the Board staff group. On the one hand, there are existing functions that need to be filled. On the other hand, there are also new tasks that are added in the renewal process of the USKA strategy. Members who would like to actively contribute and get involved for the good of Swiss amateur radio are very welcome. Please contact us without obligation, stating your most important skills.
