Helvetia Contest: RTC Test Session on April 14

The Helvetia Contest will take place on the HF bands on April 25 and 26, 2026.

With the updated regulations, the «Real Time Contesting» (RTC) option is officially introduced.

Test Run this Tuesday

On Tuesday, April 14, 2026, between 18:00 and 24:00 UTC, a session will be available to test logging software configurations. Victor, VA2WA, is providing this RTC test environment. The primary objective is to verify RTC settings within the loggers and to test the adjudication modules. Conducting actual QSOs during this window is encouraged to facilitate data transmission testing.

Technical Implementation

Documentation for configuring common contest loggers is available at https://blog.contestonlinescore.com/documents/. In RTC mode, the software automatically uploads new QSOs to the server via the internet every two minutes. Real-time standings can be monitored during the competition at https://hamscore.com/scoreboard/?contest_id=169.

Post-Contest Procedure

Following the conclusion of the Helvetia Contest on Sunday at 12:59:59 UTC, participants have a ten-minute window to finalize log entries. These updates are synchronized automatically and replace previous records. Immediately after this period, the evaluation process begins, and the final rankings will be available on the website within minutes.
