Springtime freshness for uska.ch

As soon as I took up my post as webmaster, it was clear that uska.ch needed a rejuvenation.
In addition to various regular tasks as webmaster in the background, it is also part of my job to keep the website visually attractive and up-to-date. My many years of experience with “Wordpress” and my flair for graphic design come in very handy here.
Taking over the technical side of a website of this size that you didn’t build yourself is a major challenge.
But since I’m more motivated by things that aren’t run-of-the-mill, that was actually a good starting point, even if it takes a lot of time and nerves. There is also a great learning effect, which is a pleasant side effect 🙂
I have now been able to make a few design adjustments:
– Basic colors, the “Blick” red is now “HBradio” blue
– the header image is now fresh and has a reference to amateur radio
– the overloaded front page has now shed some ballast and is a lot clearer
Further adjustments are planned:
– slim down the navigation menu
– Reduce submenus
– Make the HB repeater list clear and sortable
– and some more …
There is still a lot to do 🙂
I hope you enjoy our multifaceted hobby and look forward to your regular visits to uska.ch.
