Results Marconi Memorial Contest incl. Contest Champion

Deutsche Version / Version française / Versione italiana / English version

It’s November again and the 2024 VHF contest season ends with the 145MHz CW contest in honour of the Italian Guglielmo Marconi.
It’s actually a quiet and tranquil contest that doesn’t come close to the other contests in terms of participant and QSO numbers.

But not in 2024: excellent radio conditions on the 2m band developed right at the start of November, which provided the participants with many long-range connections. For the Swiss OMs, connections were made to England, Wales and Ireland, as well as to the north with Denmark and Sweden. On Sunday, a real corridor formed from the British Isles to OM/HA, which made connections of over 1600km possible.

Fabio, HB9FAP – with his location on the Kronberg in Appenzell – was literally in the thick of it, and was able to finish the contest with an ‘unforgettable result’.
Probably the best single-op result in Europe….We keep our fingers crossed!

Thanks to all participants for taking part and sending in their logs to the USKA.
Congratulations on the results achieved.
